Who hasn’t spent a few minutes, at least once, gazing at a construction site, mesmerised by giant machines lifting tons of material with incredible precision?
Yet, the kind of amazement that BEEYONDERS aims to bring to life goes even further. Imagine, in fact, a wheel loader performing its tasks completely autonomously – with no one at the controls.
That’s exactly what happened on May 6-7 in Zaragoza, at the premises of Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón (ITA), where this technology took centre stage. During live testing, the wheel loader showcased its innovative sensor systems, data simulation capabilities, and digital twin integration, offering a glimpse into a construction future that is not only more efficient but also safer and smarter.
This hands-on demonstration marked an important milestone for the project, now in full swing with testing of various advanced solutions (the autonomous wheel loader being just one example).
Beyond the technology itself, the meeting was also a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration within the consortium, align on shared objectives, and reinforce the collective commitment to driving innovation in the construction sector.
