STAVANGER FORUM
Gunnar Warebergs gate 13, 4021 - Stavanger, Norway
Exploring robotics, AI, and innovative solutions for circular and efficient construction through a joint workshop.
The European Robotics Forum (ERF) 2026 will once again bring together leading experts from academia, industry, and policy to discuss the latest developments in robotics and artificial intelligence. This year’s edition will focus on strengthening the role of robotics in addressing key societal and industrial challenges, with particular attention to sustainability and digital transformation.
BEEYONDERS will actively contribute to ERF2026 by co-organising a joint workshop together with partners from the Tech4EUConstruction cluster, including RoBétArmé, DISCOVER, and the ShieldBot project, as well as the newly invited project XSCAVE. The workshop, titled “AI and robotics in construction: from perception to action”, will take place on 24 March, from 14:00 to 15:20 (Lysefjorden B).
The session will open with a welcome by Jason Rambach (DFKI), followed by an invited talk from Sigrid Brell-Cokcan (RWTH Aachen University) on climate-neutral and resource-efficient construction.
The workshop will then feature presentations by Dimitrios Giakoumis (CERTH), Antonio Alonso Cepeda (ACCIONA), David Caballero Flores (UPC), Viktor Wiberg (Algoryx), and Sara Mata (IDEKO), representing leading European research initiatives in robotics for construction.
The session will conclude with a joint panel discussion and Q&A, moderated by Jason Rambach, bringing together all speakers to discuss key challenges and future directions for robotics in the construction sector.
