The BEEYONDERS project launches a new webinar exploring how immersive technologies can transform safety training in the construction sector.
Virtual Reality (VR) is opening new possibilities for worksite safety. Through immersive simulations, workers can train in complex or hazardous scenarios without exposure to real risks. This innovative approach not only improves preparedness but also helps reduce on-site accidents and enhances workers’ overall well-being.
The upcoming BEEYONDERS webinar, taking place on 24 September 2025 from 14:00 to 15:00 CET, will showcase how VR is reshaping safety practices in the construction sector.
The session will emphasise the value of digital simulations and explore how serious games can:
- Automatically generate training scenarios in virtual environments.
- Help workers identify and avoid potential hazards.
- Collect behavioural data during gameplay.
- Enable trainers to provide personalised feedback to each participant.
Prof. Jochen Teizer, Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), will guide participants through the webinar.
Using a series of videos, he will showcase the different applications and benefits of simulation-based safety training. The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A, offering attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas and ask questions.
